Agility Training Classes

Due to the ongoing Impact of the Covid 19 Pandemic and the constant changing regulations on how we can work, we have sadly had to close our agility services for winter 2020.

All being well our aim is to rejuvenate our agility training from Spring 2021.

In the meantime feel free to contact us to be added to our agility contact list or with any questions you may have.

Agility is a popular, fun and active sport for all dogs and handlers. For those who become hooked, our training style ensures you can naturally move into advanced and competition levels smoothly. For those who simply want to keep it as a fun hobby, you’ll have a great time!

Course Structure

  • 6 week courses
  • 1 hour once a week
  • Foundation Level: Classes of 6 dogs with one instructor
  • All other levels: Classes of 10 dogs with two instructors
  • Courses run on Thursday afternoons & evenings.
  • This is an outdoor sport, so when the weather is bad or presents hazardous conditions, we delay the session to the following week.

Foundation Level

(First timers and dogs under 1 year)
This is good for all first timers and essential for dogs under 1 year. It provides a gentle way of introducing the dogs to the equipment, getting them used to basic agility commands and starting to link obstacles to the point of running small and simple courses.

It protects the under 1 year olds who should not start jumping until their bones and muscles are fully developed, so therefore can’t attend standard classes until they reach 1 year.

Foundation level makes the transition into our mixed agility classes much easier for both dogs and handlers. It provides a chance for you to see if you enjoy it and amongst the adults it is particularly great for small breeds and nervous dogs.

If agility is new to you, we recommend this level as a good place to start.

Agility Beginners to Advanced

(Minimum dog age 1 year)
We have a small choice of class times available. Each class is split into two groups of 5 and where we have mixed levels we divide handlers and dogs according to their experience. You will spend half an hour with one instructor working on detailed exercises and half an hour with another instructor developing your handling skills on steering your dog round a course. At the end of each 6 week block you do some fun competitions.

Advanced to Competition Agility

We do have a number of clients who are competing for fun.  We do run an advanced / competition class when there is enough demand.  Please enquire about this if it is something that interests you.

If you would like to come and watch our classes and meet the team you are always welcome.  We advise you call to check the agility is running on the day you would like to visit.
